You've put it off for months. Maybe years. You've meant to book so many times, but every time you go to, your stomach tightens, your mind races, and it slips to another day.
If that sounds familiar, here's what matters: there's nothing wrong with you. The fear isn't the problem, it's your mind's way of trying to protect you. It may not even be your fear to begin with. Sometimes it's learned from someone else, long ago. Either way, your mind has been protecting you ever since.
You weren't born afraid of the dentist. In fact, only two fears are there from birth: falling, and sudden loud noises. Almost every other fear is learned, which means it can be unlearned, with no battling and no years of struggle.
Sometimes what feels like magic is simply understanding how the mind works, and resetting it to how it was always meant to be: calm, confident and free.
"Your mind isn't trying to hurt you. It's trying to protect you. I simply take you back to factory reset, as good as new."
That is the quiet power of hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching.
Hi, I'm Louise. I've spent over 40 years in the dental profession. I started out as a dental nurse, sitting beside nervous patients, holding hands and reassuring them through everything from check-ups to complex treatment.
But kindness only helps on the day. It doesn't change how you feel about the dentist. So I trained in NLP, hypnotherapy and coaching, and most recently I've worked as a Dental Anxiety Practitioner, using those tools to help frightened patients feel calm for good.
I learned directly from world-renowned hypnotherapist Ali Campbell, who fittingly began his own career in a Glasgow dental practice. Lasting change doesn't have to be hard or slow. This isn't about reprogramming you. It's about taking your mind back to how it was always meant to be: calm, and good as new.
My approach is gentle and kind. You stay in control the whole way. I simply guide you.
Your dental health matters for far more than your smile; it affects your whole body. So nothing beats seeing someone who once dreaded it walk into the dental surgery, complete their treatment, and realise they never had to be afraid. That, for me, is the best feeling in the world. If that's you, I'd love to help.
If fear has kept you away from the dentist, sometimes for years, please know this isn't about willpower, and it was never your fault. My mission is simple: to make sure fear never stands between you and the care you deserve, so looking after yourself finally feels easy and possible.
Every session is one-to-one and built entirely around you. Choose online via Zoom from anywhere in the world, or in person in Chessington, Surrey, UK, whichever feels easier. There's no reliving what hurt; I guide your mind back to calm, and leave you with tools that last. Most people experience lasting change in 1 to 3 sessions.
Every session is one-to-one, online and entirely at your own pace, a reset that returns you to calm and good as new. You're never rushed, and there's no judgment, ever.
If you've avoided the dentist for years, or your heart starts pounding the moment you sit down, I settle that fear right at its root, so an appointment finally feels calm and manageable, even easy.
If injections are your sticking point, you're in very good company, and it's one of the quickest things to change. I settle the response at its root, often in a single session, so it simply loses its grip on you.
If you wake with a tight jaw, or you've been told you grind in your sleep, it's usually stress quietly looking for a way out. I help your mind and jaw let go, protecting your teeth and giving you back peaceful nights.
If a sensitive gag reflex has made dental care feel impossible, you're not being difficult, it's simply an automatic response, and a very changeable one. I settle it gently, so you stay calm and comfortable throughout.
If sugar is the comfort you reach for without thinking, I gently ease the triggers underneath the cravings, so your relationship with it becomes calm and easy, and your teeth quietly thank you.
If you're quietly wondering whether real change is possible for someone like you, here are two that have never left me.
My own mum had been frightened of the dentist for as long as I can remember. We did one session together. When I phoned her on the morning of her appointment, she told me she'd slept right through the night, had her breakfast, and felt genuinely happy.
"I feel like I'm off to a concert," she said. "Mum," I laughed, "you're going for a root canal!"
I still have the photo of her beaming smile when all the work was finished. That one means the world to me.
A daughter, and a very proud practitioner
And sometimes the change reaches further than anyone imagines. I worked with a lady who had carried deep emotion for twenty-one years, ever since she survived the Boxing Day tsunami.
As our work helped her feel lighter, happier in herself, and finally able to talk about what she'd been through, something quiet shifted too. She stopped grinding her teeth at night. She'd had no idea the two were connected.
The mind and the body rarely keep secrets from one another.
Why I believe this work runs deep
"Louise took time with me in a Zoom session the day before my implant, as I felt very nervous. Her technique made me so relaxed that afterwards I was nearly floating. The next morning I felt fine and wasn't worried about going to the appointment."
"After 20+ years of nervousness around dental treatment, Louise was able to alleviate this within 1 hour. Her persona is warm and comforting and I cannot thank her enough. I would wholeheartedly recommend her."

I help you feel calm, confident and completely in control of your experience at the dentist. Using hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and life coaching together, all online and one-to-one, we return your mind to a settled, easy state, so looking after yourself feels good again.
Almost certainly, yes, even if you feel like a hopeless case (many people who say that turn out to be the easiest to help). It works on the vast majority of people, not because of any power I have, but because your own mind already knows how to change. If you can daydream, get lost in a film, or drive somewhere on autopilot, you can do this.
This is the most common concern, and it's almost never true. It usually comes from seeing stage hypnosis and assuming it's some kind of special power. Clinical hypnotherapy is simply a guided state of deep relaxation and focused attention, you're in it naturally several times a day. Scepticism doesn't stop it working; in fact, many sceptics make excellent subjects because they're observant and engaged.
Absolutely not. You are always in control. Hypnotherapy is not stage hypnosis, you won't cluck like a chicken or reveal your secrets. You remain fully aware throughout and can open your eyes and end the session at any time. Think of it less like "being put under" and more like a deeply focused conversation with your own mind.
Most people need just one to three sessions. A specific fear often shifts in a single focused session; longer-standing habits may take a couple more. You'll get a realistic plan after your free call, never a vague, open-ended commitment.
Not remotely. Stage hypnosis is entertainment, performers pick naturally extroverted volunteers and use showmanship. Clinical hypnotherapy is a recognised therapeutic technique used to address real, everyday challenges. I'm GHR-registered and work to a professional code of ethics. The only performance here is the lovely change you'll notice afterwards.
Most people describe an extremely pleasant, deeply relaxed state, like that lovely drowsy feeling just before you fall asleep, but you stay aware. Some feel heavy, others light. Many are surprised by how ordinary and easy it feels. Afterwards, most feel refreshed, calm, and a little delighted that something so gentle can do so much.
Hypnotherapy guides you into a relaxed state to gently shift beliefs, ease responses and release habits. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) works on how you process language and thought, often in a fully conscious, conversational way. I weave both together, with coaching, for faster, deeper, longer-lasting results than any one alone.
Yes, in most cases. Clinical hypnotherapy doesn't involve the deep amnesia you might see in films, most clients remember their session quite clearly. Occasionally people drift into such a relaxed state that details feel a little hazy, like recalling a pleasant dream, but this is uncommon and doesn't affect the result at all.
Sessions take place online via Zoom, or in person in Chessington, Surrey, UK, whichever suits you. Online works beautifully: all you need is your attention and a quiet, comfortable space. Many clients love relaxing in their own home, and it means we can work together wherever you are.
Clinical hypnotherapy is very safe with a qualified, registered practitioner. It's non-invasive and drug-free. The most common "side effect" is feeling wonderfully relaxed afterwards. It isn't recommended for people with certain medical or psychiatric conditions, which I gently check for in our first conversation.
Just a warm, no-obligation conversation about what you'd like to change. Pick a time that suits you below.
Just a warm, no-obligation chat about how you'd like things to feel, nothing you have to decide on the spot. Sessions happen online via Zoom, or in person in Chessington, Surrey, UK, whichever feels easier. You don't have to be brave. You just have to be ready for it to feel easier.
When fear, a sensitive gag reflex or grinding are getting in the way of your treatment, a quick referral can change the appointment, and the result.
